LOADED NZ RULES & WAIVER

RULES

All persons must report to office immediately on arrival for registration.

All licensed shooters must show their Arms licence when registering.

Any person unsure of the safety or shooting rules or feels uneasy about using a firearm should let the relevant instructor know.

All persons must follow strictly to instructions from the range Master or instructor or score keeper without exception.

Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times while on the shooting range.

People should be aware and alert of broken clay birds (chips) as they can cut or damage quite severely.

All persons should wear appropriate footwear (boots preferred).

All persons shall observe all safety flags (Red) at all times if the flag is up it is unsafe to shoot or enter the range.

Once the shooter is on their mark or shooting stand their gun must remain empty at all times until their turn comes round, they can only load on instruction from referee or instructor.

Guns are to be broken or automatics open at all times while moving around the grounds.

Guns are to be broken or open (Autos) at all times except when it is your turn to shoot after firing remove any live rounds left in the gun before turning around or leaving the mark.

When waiting for your turn to shoot you must stand behind the instructor/Referee/Marker or in your designated area or shooting stand (you cannot freely move around).

Shooters must shoot their target or targets from inside the marked areas or stand at each station that is both feet to be within the mark.

In the event of a misfire hold your position facing forward & call for the instructor/referee. DO NOT BREAK THE GUN and DO NOT TURN AROUND. The instructor/referee will then takeover with the correct checking procedure.

ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL IS TO CONSUMED PRIOR TO SHOOTING OR BETWEEN SHOOTS. FAILURE TO OBSERVE THIS RULE WILL LEAD TO IMMEDIATE CANCELLATION OF THE SHOOT FOR THOSE INVOLVED WITH NO REFUND.

The only “no birds” are broken targets or those called by the referee.

Gun can be either on or off the shoulder when calling for a target shooters choice.

Doubles will generally be released “ON REPORT” that is the second target will be released after the shooter has fired at the first target. If releasing targets together or earlier (i.e. simultaneously “SIMO”) than “ON REPORT” the referee will advise.

When doubles are thrown and one target is broken then the pair will be thrown again and if one whole target once the pair must shot again.

With report pairs if one target is broken but the other is shot then the pair is shot again but the shot target counts.

THE REFEREE/INSTRUCTOR/MARKER HAS TOTAL CONTROL AND IF THEY FEEL YOU ARE UNSAFE OR ARGUE THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK YOU TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY WITH OUT QUESTION.
